On November 19 β 20 2025, Business Human Rights Turning Principle into Action Workshop was held in Bangkok. During the workshop, the following issues were presented and discussed:
β’ Migrant workers' fundamental labor rights and the fact that migrant worker unions are not legally allowed to be established.
β’ The high costs involved in obtaining documentation and papers.
β’ Issues with accessing banks, travel, and the non-receipt of deserved compensation even after winning cases in court.
β’ The need for the Thai government to establish a fund to assist migrant workers.
β’ Corruption among some authorities who demand bribes from migrant workers through various means, and the existence of human rights violations.
It was reported that the organizers would submit the human rights violations discussed to the relevant government departments. Local Thai human rights activists also presented on human rights violations in their respective areas.
